Colin ChapmanColin Chapman
The founder of Lotus Cars. A truly innovative engineer, who was a very fine racing driver in his early career.

Jim ClarkJim Clark
Scottish farmer turned Formula 1 World Champion. In the 1960's the combination of Clark in one of Chapman's Lotus cars set the standard by which all others were judged.

Roger ClarkRoger Clark
Leicester lad and Britain's favourite rally driver. His appearances at Mallory Park in an Escort Mexico are still talked about.

Raced in Mallory Park's only Formula One race in 1962.

Mike HailwoodMike Hailwood
'Mike the Bike': regarded as one of - in not the best - ever motorcycle racers. Turned his hand to car racing with success and won the George Medal for bravery.

Winner of Mallory Park's Race of the Year in 1960, 1963, 1964, 1967 and 1968 and well remembered for his 'come-back' Post TT victory in 1978.

John SurteesJohn Surtees
The only man ever to win World Championships on a 'bike and in a car. Later a racing car constructor and team owner.

At Mallory Park he was the first ever winner of the Race of the Year in 1958 on an MV Augusta and winner of the rain soaked 1,000 guineas Formula II car race in 1967.
