Freddie Tuilagi tackles Mallory Park
Former rugby international Freddie Tuilagi took on Mallory Park yesterday (Tuesday 11th March) riding pillion with three times British Superbike Champion John Reynolds.
The stocky rugby player attended the Fast and Furious business event at Mallory Park in order to promote his new executive car company but couldn’t resist getting on track with JR.
Riding a GSX-R1000 Suzuki, Reynolds put Freddie through five high speed laps of the twisting Mallory circuit and he enjoyed every moment of it. He said: “It was a great experience. I came to Mallory Park last year to watch the British Superbike guys and it just amazed me. It really is a talent especially when you see how fast the bike goes. Today it wasn’t as fast as the professionals go but it was still unbelievable.”
Freddie opted to bring his new business venture along to the Fast and Furious to introduce it to other businesses which was the purpose of the event. “My company is an executive chauffeur business, picking up and looking after clients,” he explained. “If someone has a client that needs to go to the airport or to an important event we take them there and make sure they are looked after.”
The whole day was a great success and John Ward, General Manager of Mallory Park was happy with how it all worked out. “We had a really good turn out of local businesses today,” he commented. “I was very pleased to have JR here and to be able to get Freddie out on track with him. It was something they both enjoyed and it added even more of a buzz to the business that was taking place here.”
A second Fast and Furious event will take place at Mallory Park on 7th October from 9.00am-1.00pm, for further information please contact suelangley@bdiconsultants.co.uk.
