New Era Championship opener at Mallory Park
The Ryan Holmes Memorial Trophy races blast off at Mallory Park on Sunday 30th March with a jam packed race schedule.
This New Era Club 2008 Championship opener has attracted a huge number of riders to fill the extended programme of 20 races.
Included in the race programme is the ever-popular Sound of Thunder class, Grand Prix 125 and 250cc, Ducati Desmo, Pro-Bike Open, Formula 400 and Formula 600. That is supplemented by Honda Hornets, CB500s and the new Bridgestone Supermoto Championship.
The Supermotos will be a crowd pleasing addition to the scene as it provides a totally different spectacle with its riders backing it in with their foot dragging, tail wagging, cornering antics.
To further add to the eclectic mix, there will be two races for the British Superkart National Championships in 125 and 250 classes. These machines are capable of remarkably fast times around Mallory and will be entertaining for the fans.
Hinckley based riders Ian McSeveny and Patrick Walker will be the focal point for local interest with both contesting the Pro-Bike series aboard Kawasaki’s.
Practice starts at 9.30am and the first race will be at 11.20am. Admission for adults costs £12, OAP’s £10 and children under the age of 16 go free; paddock & parking access are also free.
