The Classic Sports Car Club heads to Mallory Park
The third round of the Classic Sports Car Championship will be held on the 25th-26th May at Mallory Park.
The jam packed race schedule commences on Sunday 25th May with The Jaguar Series, XJZ Championship and the All Nippon Challenge. The Jaguars hit the track again in the Jaguar Saloon Championship and that is followed up by the Tin Tops.
The Tin Tops have proved immensely popular since the Classic Sports Car Club started running them back in 2005. It is the ideal novice class and allows race fans the opportunity to see their favourite hot hatches in action.
Bank Holiday Monday, 26th May has its own race schedule featuring the MR2 Challenge and the Monoposto Championship. Many people will be looking forward to the Swinging Sixties class which is now into its fourth season and provides a mix of Sports, Saloons and GT cars originally produced in the 1960s. The races run over forty minutes which allows for a pit-stop just to add to the drama.
As if that isn’t enough action there is the Formula Junior Series, the Star of Mallory Formula Ford 1600 Championship and the Jigsaw ‘Classic Triumph’ invitation race. Running over both days is the Sports Car v Saloon Challenge.
Practice starts at 09:30 and the racing kicks off at 13:15 each day.
Tickets cost £12 per day or £22 for a weekend ticket, however if booked in advance it will only cost £19.
