Post TT success but more racing to come
The Post TT Motorcycle races at Mallory Park last Sunday were a huge success, with perfect weather conditions, a superb day’s racing and lots of classic bikes on show.
The jam packed schedule had to expand further when an extra race was added filling the day even more. Tommy Robb, Ulster’s TT star from yesteryear, took to the Friendly Circuit with Kent’s ex Grand Prix star Ron Chandler, for a number of demonstration laps. They were then joined by numerous other classic machines, including Hondas, Nortons, Triumphs, Yamahas and a Benelli plus a whole host of other Marques which roared their way round the 1.39 mile track.
Action continues this weekend with the Trinity Hyundai Rally of the Midlands. Mallory Park will host the six Jordans Road Surfacing stages on the evening of Friday 20th June from 19.30 and Saturday 21st June with morning and afternoon stages. The evening stages on Friday only cost £3 admission while Saturday’s action costs £6, or a two day ticket can be purchased for just £6.
The fourth round of the Vintage Motorcycle Races will then take place on Sunday 22nd June, completing the weekend. With over 200 entries the 24 races will be action packed and full of exotic vintage machines which are sure to start the memories flooding back. Tickets cost £14 on the gate or £12 in advance.
If you have a passion for vintage and classic motorcycles then the Festival of a 1000 Bikes on the 12th-13th July will be an ideal follow up the Vintage Motorcycle Races this weekend. Advanced day tickets cost £9 and advance weekend tickets cost £18.
