Race of the Year is go at Mallory Park
Mallory Park is gearing up for one if its biggest
events this season - the Race of the Year this coming Sunday 19th
October.
The grids are full, there is a strong
British Superbike turn out and the weather forecast looks good so the Race of
the Year is shaping up to be an excellent event.
Tom Sykes is the biggest star to take to
the track this coming weekend aboard his Rizla Suzuki. It is a historic moment in
motorcycling as it is the last time the team will race as Rizla Suzuki due to
Rizla withdrawing its sponsorship, and it is the final time this year that
Sykes will race in the UK before moving to his new berth in the Yamaha Italia
World Superbike team. Come along and show your support for both Tom and the
Rizla Suzuki team.
British Supersport Champion Glen Richards
will be there aboard his title winning Triumph, Tristan Palmer will be riding
for Hawk Kawasaki, and David Johnson will also compete on his Maxxis
Honda. Chris Burns will be on track the
Co-Ordit Yamaha plus some Supersport and Superstock riders will take part with Ben
Wilson, James Hillier, Kenny Gilbertson, Luke Quigley, and journalist Rob
Hoyles.
All 11 races are well subscribed with a
bumper turn out expected. The on track action starts with practice at 0930 and
racing commences at 13:00. The feature Race of the Year takes place at 14:50
and will run over 20 laps
During the lunch break track activities
will continue with some demonstration laps from Loris Capirossi's 2007 MotoGP
