MOTORSPORTS TRAUMA COURSE 2008

In conjunction with BARC, we are organising a ONE DAY MOTORSPORT TRAUMA COURSE again as we did this year.  This will be at the start of the 2008 season with a structured timetable, include various speakers, multiple skills stations and moulage demo’s.

BARC have confirmed the date as 26th January 2008.

The course is open to all doctors with an interest in Motorsport Medicine as well as medical students and paramedics and nurses. Our medical student/nurse places may be as observers but we will know more details nearer the date.

Places will be limited so please confirm your attendance early. We will adopt a selection process and those unsuccessful this year will then be given preference for the next course.

I hope this course will provide an even greater working knowledge of trackside trauma and enable doctors to gain confidence in their approach to the casualty in motorsport events. We aim to provide up to date information to medical personnel and follow guidelines of current Pre Hospital Training Organisations. 

The cost of the course is yet to be finalised but we will provide pre course study material and certification of attendance.
