THE 2011 VMCC FESTIVAL OF 1000 BIKES

Kenny_Roberts_002a MORE than 22,000 people visited the Festival of 1000 bikes at Mallory Park on Friday 8^th, Saturday 9^th and Sunday July 10^th, making it the biggest and most successful classic motorcycle event in the UK.

Sunshine greeted the crowd and King Kenny Roberts stole the show with his first ride on a UK track since 1984 – as well as spending time meeting visitors and answering questions from a knowledgeable crowd.

Mallory Park General Manager John Ward said: “What an absolutely fantastic event and a brilliant turnout. Whether it was big name riders, racing, taking part or looking for the best in entertainment and bargains, The Festival of 1000 Bikes was a top class event and everyone I spoke with enjoyed themselves.

“We’ve already started the organisation of the 2012 event and it will be going some to beat this year’s – but with the VMCC I know that it will be onwards and upwards. We can’t wait to see who the star will be next year, watch this space…”
