THE 2011 VMCC FESTIVAL OF 1000 BIKES

Kenny_Roberts_002aMORE than 22,000 people visited the Festival of 1000 bikes at Mallory Park on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday July 10th, making it the biggest and most successful classic motorcycle event in the UK.

Sunshine greeted the crowd and King Kenny Roberts stole the show with his first ride on a UK track since 1984 – as well as spending time meeting visitors and answering questions from a knowledgeable crowd.

Mallory Park General Manager John Ward said: “What an absolutely fantastic event and a brilliant turnout. Whether it was big name riders, racing, taking part or looking for the best in entertainment and bargains, The Festival of 1000 Bikes was a top class event and everyone I spoke with enjoyed themselves.

“We’ve already started the organisation of the 2012 event and it will be going some to beat this year’s – but with the VMCC I know that it will be onwards and upwards. We can’t wait to see who the star will be next year, watch this space…”
